DescriptionContains applications to posts in the Central School of Arts and Crafts, correspondence relating to appointments, notebooks, scrapbooks, book gifts. Christmas cards and business cards from the years 1932 to 1960, dinner menus, black and white photographs, for example from the ATPAS conference in Glasgow 1965, Pickering's poetry ("Typography or The Adventures Concerning C.L.P."), a Jerusalem album, film strips and articles on printing can also be found. Also comprises Pickering's draft speeches, notes and papers from conferences and events, samples of the Chicago Tribune Ocean Times, which were "produced by the apprentices under my supervision during the General Strike 1926", and books, publications and other records that Pickering owned and may have been part of his personal library.
