Her Noise Archive

The Her Noise exhibition (2005), and other associated events, showcased women in sound arts and explored music histories in relation to gender. The archive includes videos, audio recordings, books, zines, catalogues and administrative records.

Les Coleman Collection

Les Coleman (1945-2013) collected comics from the North American underground and alternative comic book movements. This significant literary and visual library was donated to UAL, and includes signed and limited edition prints by comic book artists, as well as art, illustration and humour books.

The London College of Communication is the largest college of the University of the Arts London. The College, and its predecessor bodies, has a history of printing, trade and technical subjects. The archive relates to the College's activities, including prospectuses, examples of student work, photographs, yearbooks, and reference material for printing techniques.

The archive of acclaimed film director Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999). Material spans his entire career, and includes material from all stages of the film-making process for his completed films, and development material from unfinished projects.

Tell Us About It Archive

The Tell Us About It project explores the diverse learning experiences of students studying at UAL. Focusing on underrepresented groups within the student body, the archive contains artworks in a variety of forms. These include writing, sketchbooks and audio-visual works.

Tom Eckersley Collection

Tom Eckersley (1914-1997) was a poster artist and design teacher, who established Britain’s first graphic design course at the London College of Printing. The collection includes published posters and original artworks relating to his commercial, government and charity commissions, as well as teaching materials.
