| Description | Prints, flyer, press release copies, hire forms and correspondence relating to 'Native Dancers', an exhibition by Naomi Weissman. The exhibition featured photographs by Weissman taken during a six-month intensive project that she undertook at the Darkroom Workshop/Gallery in Berkeley, California in 1976. The photographs were taken using Tri-X film, a Nikon camera and a 28mm lens. Most photographs were shot in San Francisco, with some also taken in Hawaii and New York City. The folder also includes a copy of Weissman's CV.
The exhibition was hired for loan by various organisations and galleries, including Chapter Arts Centre, Sir John Cass's Foundation and Redcoat School [now Stepney All Saints School], Lyth Arts Centre, Mid-Warwick College, Magnum Leisure Centre, The Source Gallery and The Lyth Arts Centre. |
