DescriptionThe series contains research files, notes and teaching tools such as plates, slides and blocks which were used by Fenton while teaching classes. They relate to various subjects including typefaces, engraving and typesettings. Also included are photographs, yearbooks, prospectuses, calendars and newspapers. It also includes correspondence and paperwork relating to Fenton's retirement, jobs including Croydon College of Art, courses and his work as stewards at the Royal Festival Hall. Fenton was a lecturer at the St Brides Foundation Printing School, its successor the London School of Printing and Kindred Trades and at its successor the London School of Printing and Graphic Arts.
