DescriptionThis file contains three cylinders made of card, and three booklets, representing each of the three years Kweku Bennin studied Graphic design, with graphics and text, addressing various issues and advice for various stages in the BA course calendar journey. It also contains a leaflet titled 'THINK', which gives advice about studying, on how to be successful, and gives some examples of logos and icons Bennin used throughout his studies.

The cylinders get progressively taller with each year, Year 1 is 4 inches tall, Year 2 is 7 inches, and Year 3 14.5 inches. Each cylinder has the year they represent on one of the end sides. On the other end side is a circle with four sections, one with the year of study, and the others with three 'myths' relating to social life, accommodation, and learning. Inside this circle is a movable wheel with various 'facts' that match up as the truth behind the myths.

Like the cylinders, each booklet has a movable wheel for the reader to discover which year it represents. In the 'YR1' booklet, Kweku writes about his 'ethnic origin' background and how he intends to challenge stereotypes, the shock of moving from a college to a university level of education; in the 'YR2' booklet, he writes about the limitations of continually working with the same group of students, and the benefits of attending workshops, talks and entering competitions. In the 'YR3' booklet, Kweku writes how he realised what kind of designer he had become, how he had to fend for himself rather than rely on others, how the 'industry' has changed and the effect of the recession, and the changes he would like to see implemented on the course, such as how to promote oneself or how to become a freelancer. The 'YR3' booklet also includes a photograph of the 'Class of 2009' Graphic Design Students at the Oxo Tower, London.
