Included in this material are nearprint scripts for ONE FINE DAY, the final manuscript for RED SONJA, treatments for an a array of television series including THE MAGNIFICENT THREE, as well as scripts for Eddie and the Breakthrough, Butcher Boy, the Patient, Saga of the HMS Bounty (made into a film called BOUNTY! starring Anthony Hopkins), as well as Exton's adaptions of the Inspector Wexford mysteries for ITV: Wolf to Slaughter, A Guilty Thing Surprised, and Shake Hands Forever, the latter two which Exton wrote under the nome de plume MK Jeeves. |
Individual or organisational biography | From his earliest days working on ITV's Armchair Theatre productions to his dramatisations for popular, lavishly produced series such as Agatha Christie's Poirot and Jeeves & Wooster, Clive Exton was a screenwriter who brought intelligence and depth to television drama.
