Title'Home Truths: An exhibition about Women and the Design of Houses', [c 1984]
DescriptionOne print (17.8 x 12.5cm) related to the exhibition 'Home Truths'. Label on the back credits Cockpit but not the individual photographer.

From correspondence with former Cockpit organisers we discovered that this exhibition had been created by Matrix, a feminist design co-operative. A statement from the time read, 'When we started this exhibition we wanted to show how houses are designed as 'A Woman's Place' - the way our homes our built, which rooms are where, how big they are; it all seems so obvious, so natural, as to go unquiestioned....' (Schooling and Culture journal, 1984)
