Title | 'The "Positive" Music Process' Proposal |
Description | A letter from Harold Strong at Henderson and Spalding to Hubert Foss expressing interest in his ideas for developing the "Positive" music printing process. Strong has added a handwritten note estimating discounts that Henderson and Spalding could offer on engraving and printing and Foss marked the letter with the name C F L'Estrage and calculations based on the discounts suggested by Strong.
Attached is a 'prospectus' for the setting up of a company in connection with the patented process, which was to mechanise the engraving of music scores. The prospectus lays out the price of equipment, details of the plant to be taken over and a description of the process, a projected budget for the first year and a calculation of the capital required. Also included are two additional copies of the proposal. |
