Title | Reply from Harold Strong and Photogravure Printing proposal |
Description | A letter from Harold Strong in Torquay in reply to Hubert Foss' about commissioning Harold Whitney to arrange the securing of an insurance company debenture (HF/1/1/2). Strong gives details of another possible arrangement through which a debenture might be gained, suggests caution in promising commission for, or sharing figures with, Whitney, but advises that another meeting be arranged with him. Strong addresses Foss' point about the length of agreement with Loening and Seckel, suggesting that something more than a 'gentlemen's agreement' is needed.
Attached are a report on 'Proposals in Regard to Photogravure Printing' and estimated expenses and profits for the first three years of the proposed arrangement. The report covers the features of the provisional contract between Henderson and Spalding and Loening and Seckel, the advantages to Henderson and Spalding, financial projections and long term aims. Foss has written notes about Strong's letter on the first page of the report. |
