| Description | Colour reproductions of the menu (including its printed blue paper cover), menu insert and Hubert Foss' handwritten placecard for the 58th Double Crown Club dinner, held on 16 December 1936. The menu was designed by Harry Carter and indicates that the dinner speaker, on 'A Printer's Reader on Printing' was HP Bastow.The insert is a passage on 'Incuriousnesse in the Presse' detailing various printing errors, taken from 'The New Inclosures Broken Down' (London, 1657), printed by W Godbid. |
