Description | (born 1964) is an American-Canadian composer, improviser, and installation artist. She is one of the few non-Japanese performers of the sho, a traditional mouth organ used in gagaku, Japan's imperial court music. Originally from Minnesota in the United States, she lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. • "Walking through Tokyo", a portrait of Tokyo, intended for a/v projection in gallery or theatre, features soundscape of Tokyo composed by Sarah Peebles with a parallel work in photographs exploring Tokyo's unique urbanity, cinematically synchronised to the audio composition, created by Christine Pearson.
