Description | The Archive, as developed by Emma Hedditch with Irene Revell and the Her Noise curators toured in 2006 to Landmark at the Bergen Kunsthall (HN/4/1). Hedditch was invited to repeat 'We're Alive, Let's Meet' in the context of the Her Noise Archive at Landmark, choosing themes specific to this new location for her get togethers. In advance of the project Emma Hedditch and Electra also made contact with local artists and organisations to invite them to participate in the project. These included: Steinar Stekkingstadand and the Bergen Sound Art gallery collective, Maia Urstad, a local sound artist, LARM project, documenting women in Scandinavian sound art and noise culture (http://www.larm-festival.se/). Lina Dzuverovic, Irene Revell and Emma Hedditch presented the Archive at Landmark from the 27th November to the 1st of December 2006. It combined a research area, listening posts and viewing space. The evening's presentation with Maia Urstad is documented on MiniDv, where she discuss her installation and concert works, many of which take the form of public sonic interventions between the limits of urbanity & nature. This footage also contains an audience Q&A with Maia Urstad, Lina Dzuverovic Irene Revell & Emma Hedditch (HN/__ and HN/__). |
