| Description | The Her Noise program extended a far wider scope than the five week duration of the exhibition at the South London Gallery in November 2005. Two events that can be considered as precursors to the Her Noise events of 2005 are the Her Noise curated evening at the A/D Werf Festival in Utrecht in 2003, with performances by Kevy B, People Like Us and AGF (HN/4/7), and the When She Talks panel discussion that took place in 2001 as part of Futuresonic Manchester (HN/4/8). This discussion was moderated by Anne Hilde Neset, acting in the capacity of the No-alt Girls with Lina Dzuverovic documenting the event on MiniDV. Panellists consisted of Kaffe Matthews, Vicki Bennett, Riz Maslen of Neotropic and Nadine Andrews in an open forum with the public that focused on women in electronica. |
