| Description | A light brown manila folder contains a 99-page draft with loose pages and no duplication. Its sections, arranged differently from other drafts, cover Lindsay Cooper’s international music career, structured largely by locations where she lived, worked, and performed, alongside accounts of her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis, relapses, and lived experience. It also includes diary excerpts, thematic reflections on subjects such as anger, relationships, and her life, using black-and-white and colour photographs. This draft has no index but includes a cover featuring the book title and front and back scans of a postcard sent by Bryony Lavery to Lindsay Cooper before the 1992 premiere performance of The Road is Wider Than Long by Lontano. It concludes with a short paragraph written in August 2001 in which Cooper reflects on her MS and the support system around her. |
