Individual or organisational biographyPeter Golding is an English fashion designer and musician based in London. Golding began his fashion career in the 1960s, setting up one of the first professional fashion design consultanties on Old Burlington Street, then Savile Row. In 1970 he created the world's first designer jean with the Falmer Company Ltd. and in 1978 created the first stretch denim jean. In 1974, Golding opened his flagship store, ACE, in London's King's Road, attracting many celebrity clientele.
