| Description | The file contains standard Union engagement terms and contract and cover letters addressed to recruited members of crew including makeup artists, special effects staff, art department and stillsmen. The letters are arranged alphabetically by surname of the person being recruited [original order]. A few have letters of acknowledgement or termination attached. The terms and conditions were set out and agreed by the British Film Producers Association and the National Association of Cinematograph Television and Allied Technicians. Section A also includes the unit list for the Arctic aerial operations unit, 30 Sep 1963.
The agreements and cover letters were sent out by Hawk Films or Trooper Films Limited [Directors: Victor Lyndon and Ron Phipps]. One of the dividers has been retained as an example.
There are also two lists of standby staff, 1963 and one list of sound crew, 1 Jan 1963.
