DescriptionThe sub-series mainly contains paperwork and newspaper articles related to publicity tours, press campaigns and breaks [news stories]. However, there are some items relating to the wider aspects of production finishes and publicity, such as a design for the book version of the film.

All titles are original. Within the A-Z sequence are sets of sub-sequences for example, under F in the main sequence is a file for 'Foreign [non-US articles]', under this file title is a set of sub-files that are also arranged A-Z. The main sequence then resumes. The files are arranged in their original order.

Where a file cover is empty it has still be retained in the sequence due to the fact that there is evidence some materials have been removed from the files at a prior date but are still in the collection for example, Book- Burgess [Anthony] is empty but we do have contemporary copies of the novel that may have been filed here. It also facilitates an understanding of how the filing system operated.

This translates to the following levels: each file is at file level; where a file is a header file with a sub-sequence it is at section level, with the sub-files at file level.

Terminology: breaks = new news items; copy = refers to the text in books, magazines, and newspapers; tear sheet = denotes a page cut or torn from a publication often to prove to the client that the advertisement was published.

A note on dates: on the catalogue British dating [ie day, month, year] has been used, on the physical files however mainly American dating [ie month; day; year] is used.
