There are three letters from Dutton to Kubrick, 4 Jan 1984-20 Nov 1984 tentatively confirming dates, costs and a site visit by Kubrick. There is also a letter from Kubrick to John Gadd, North Thames Gas, 23 Feb 1984, proposing Beckton as a filming location and schedule to start autumn/winter 1984. Attached to the letter from Sir Denis Rooke, Chairman, British Gas to Lord Goodman, Goodman Derrick and Co [solicitors], 6 Feb 1984, referring Kubrick's team to Gadd and a photocopy map of the site. There are handwritten notes relating to the letters on some of them in Kubrick's hand.
