Description | The poster is signed by Eckersley. It features the slogan 'keep Britain [back text] TIDY' [red text] and was used in the Keep Britain tidy campaign. The image is of a blue man in profile he is bending to pick up a newspaper [the paper is photographic and so the image has a collage like quality]. His arm passes through the I in TIDY. The background colour is white. The poster was winner of the British Poster Design Award, 1963. Measures, 76.5cm by 51cm. Prepared for Ministry of Housing and Local Government by the Central Office of Information. Printed for HM Stationery Office by Stafford & Co Ltd. Screenprint. |
