DescriptionStatement written about Shine Sasidharan's experience studying fashion both at Foundation and Masters level. Shine describes her background as a 'traditional Indian family', and writes of her initial career path as a doctor. Shine writes of her move away from science and into fashion, beginning by working as a stylist's assistant, and, after completion of her degree, undertaking the Foundation Degree in Fashion Design and Marketing at the London College of Fashion [LCF], her paid internship in New York for one year, and how she then gave up the second year of the Foundation Degree to study for a Master of Arts instead, and how she wishes to pursue a career in fashion journalism after gaining employment working for an American publication.. Shine also writes of the openness on the Masters course, the help she received from people at LCF, and gives advice to future students to think about their career path properly.
