Description | Film made in fairy-story style, with a young boy narrating the story of June's life, accompanied by various pieces of music and images. The piece is a film collage, using footage from films, advertisements, television programmes, cartoons, music videos and archive footage. In the foreground of the film is a plastic doll, meant to represent June. The story is about June's childhood through to her time at university, starting with her childhood in a 'dirty city' without colour. It continues by highlighting important episodes in her life, playing drums as a teenager, travelling the world, falling in love and having two children, then finding things difficult in terms of housework and educating her children, so moving from the city to the countryside, where June was unhappy. The film also comments on June becoming ill and having multiple operations, but always finding refuge in painting. The film turns to her moving back to the city [London] where she meets like-minded people, and begins to work hard [at University]. The film ends with June being able to see colour again, and with a song from the Disney cartoon 'Snow White'.
The film is on a CD and is looped. It lasts for 7 minutes and 37 seconds.
