TitleParry Thomas: Designer-Driver
DescriptionThe story of a brilliant Man , who did not mind rolling up his sleeves to get the job done. From the total design of a new chassis, to the adaptation of existing ones, he would design, build, re-build & drive to the same superb standard from his base at Brooklands. His real aim was the L.S.R. & his duels with Seagrave & Campbell (Both working with a much larger budget!) were legendar. This is the story of a Welshman who died on yet another attempt on the record, on his beloved Pendine Sands & who's Car 'Babs' was buried in the Sands as a tribute for so many years. Today, of course, following its superb rebuild by Owen Wyn Owen, it is on display in a purpose built museum overlooking those sands. Thats when its not spitting Flame with a deafening Roar on a demonstration at a prestige Race Meeting .
