DescriptionThe subseries contains production and progress reports, suggestions for cuts, notes, and items relating to the battle scene, such as location sketches and letters.

[In Dec 1940 Dickinson was asked to make a feature length film about security for the Ministry of Information, with the message that during wartime people should be careful about what they say as the enemy could be listening. The film was originally called 'Security', but later changed by Dickinson to 'Next of Kin', and it was released in early 1942. The film was directed by Dickinson, and produced by Michael Balcon as well as co-written with Angus McPhail, John Dighton, and Captain Basil Bartlett, the latter also being the Military Supervisor for the film. There were also two liaison officers: Major G. H. Day and Captain W. R. Boalch. The film met with various problems, including bad weather [recorded in the daily production reports], lack of resources, and, on its release, criticisms that it would damage morale.]
