DescriptionThis file contains papers relating to Dickinson's appointment to the United Nations, including letters of congratulations, correspondence between Dickinson and Ivan Lengyel, personnel papers for the United Nations, a fact sheet about Dickinson's intention to deliver a speech called 'The World Is Our Public' to the American Film Assembly, and a subsequent report on the speech, both written by Wallace A. Ross, and other papers, including a postcard, supplement for 1946 film festival in Prague, and personal letters from friends and colleagues. It also contains items relating to film societies, particularly Dickinson's work in Liverpool, including letters, two press cuttings, an appeal pamphlet for the Film Society movement, and two editions of the Cheltenham Film Society bulletin, 'Film News'.
