Title1937 2nd Quota Act
DescriptionThis folder was given the title 1937 Quota Act by Dickinson. The material within starts with the Cinematograph Film Act of 1927, through to the 1948 Films Act. Most of the material relates to the 1938 Act, and the decisions made therein regarding the continuation of quotas for British films. It contains press cuttings, legal pamphlets, letters and typescripts relating to the Film Act, as well as two seemingly unrelated items, such as a letter about the Munich Agreement of 1938 and a document about the controversy surrounding a film Anthony Asquith made for the Ministry of Information during the Second World War.
